BVC is the historical center for research & educational excellence in veterinary science.

Responsible for undergraduate and post graduate teaching in the subject of veterinary pathology for various courses as specified by VCI and ICAR norms. Look in to routine laboratory investigations and disease diagnostic activities by histopathology, clinical pathology and post mortem examinations. Execute research schemes, experimental assignments, collaborative projects and clinical trials of pharmaceutical companies, CRO’s and funding agencies.

 

2007- 2008

Sr. Scientist – National Toxicology Center

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Mohali-Chandigarh.

NIPER is the Institute of national importance by an Act of Parliament under aegis of Ministry of Chemicals, Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, GOI.

Planning, conducting, data generation and reporting of GLP and non-GLP toxicology studies required to support the projects undertaken. Manages activities required for GLP audit, inspection and it’s successful certification to the test facilitity.

SUVEN’s R & D center is recognized by Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, GOI

Responsible for establishment of the “Toxicology Division” to conduct in house toxicity studies. Preparation of SOP’s, protocols, project design and study reports for various toxicity studies and collaborative project of potential abroad clients for discovery toxicological studies.

This is GLP certified CRO performing wide range of toxicological studies for establishing safety criteria & risk assessment for human exposure.

Gross pathological evaluation, compilation and report writing at termination of toxicity studies. Evaluation, compilation and verification of tissue slides for histopathology. Quality control, training and supervision of histotechnique groups for slides preparation was the additional duty. Study Director / Assistant Study Director for pre clinical safety studies in animal models with responsibility of Study reviews, drafting of data, documentation, report writing and archiving of study materials in compliance with GLP principles.

 

 Post Graduate (M.V.Sc.) Research …

 

The major focus of my M.V.Sc. research project was to study the effect of combined toxicity of aflatoxin and ochratoxin in broilers, on general performance along with clinical, haemato-biochemical, gross and histopathological changes with effectiveness of dietary concentration of Probiotic containing yeast culture of Sacchromyces boulardii @ 10 mg/kg of feed against mycotoxins. The trial was conducted and submitted the thesis to Maharashtra Animal & Fisheries SciencesUniversity with thesis entitled -“Toxicopathology of combined effect of Aflatoxin and Ochratoxin in relation to efficacy of probiotics (Sacchromycus boulardii) in Broilers”.

 

 

 Technical Skills …

 

• Competences in various diagnostic techniques like TLC/HPTLC, Fluorescent microscopy, Photomicrography unit & Spectrophotometery.
• Acquainted with the operating skill of various modern instruments used for biochemical assay including experience of regular affairs of clinical laboratory techniques.
• Wide spectrum exposure to postmortem examination in various domestic, wild and laboratory animals including birds.
• Updated with the various national and international guidelines for the regulatory affairs in clinical research, toxicity studies and drug trials in laboratory animals.
